Judie Myers-Gell joined EDI to co-lead the human resources strategies of the firm. She brings to EDI a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in human resources and diversity recruitment. Most recently worked as Regional Human Resources Business Partner for Fedcap Rehabilitation Services. Before that, she was Human Resources Business Director for Finger Lakes Ambulance, held a pivotal role as Employee Relations & Diversity Manager – Catholic Family Center of Rochester and before that, as Corporate Human Resources Manager at Eastman Kodak/Champion Photochemistry.
In addition, she served as Talent Acquisition and Community Relations Manager at the University of Rochester, where she pioneered this newly created position to promote recruitment of under-represented minorities for opportunities across the University. Consulted with University president’s task force for recruitment of under-represented groups to staff positions. Judie also, served as a consultant and guest speaker at Monroe Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology and Bryant & Stratton College with an emphasis on preparing students and adults to enter the workforce.
Judie received her Bachelors' Degree in Sociology and minor in Business Administration from Nazareth College. She furthered her education with a Masters' Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Human Resources Management/Executive Leadership Program. Her community involvement past and present, is diverse and dedicated. She believes in helping shape the community in which she lives and never hesitates to lend her assistance. Judie was recognized by Rochester Institute of Technology, faculty and school officers, as a recipient of the "Paul Kazmierski Memorial Award" given annually to an alumni, by faculty honoring their commitment to the community and entrepreneurial spirit.
Judie is a long active community volunteer, some past and present; Director of Diversity Affairs with the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management, NY State Chapter of SHRM Regional Diversity Council, the United Way of Rochester African American Leadership Development Program, BOCES Executive Advisory Committee, the American Diabetes Association Advisory Council, Job Service Employer Commission, QUEST Rochester HR Network, and Workforce Diversity Network, among others.
