Jane E. Kelly leads our student affairs practice and co-leads our leadership institute. She brings a breadth and depth of experience in student affairs with over 35 years of experience in higher education. Jane recently retired from Nazareth College after 29 years, serving as a director in student activities and in residential life, in addition to, 5 years as Assistant Vice President for Student Development supervising residential life, student conduct, student activities and community center, childcare center, parents programs and assisting with the division's budget. Her commitment to education and student success in particular, is quite impressive. She has spearheaded a plethora of initiatives during her tenure at Nazareth including supporting the Student Leadership Program and development of the Title IX office, the successful integration of diversity in residential life structure and more.
In addition, Jane had extensive experience with orientation, student government advising, student advocacy, diversity training in the leadership program; conflict resolution, mediation and threat assessment; strategic planning and retention committees; including Director of campus safety, Director of Athletics and Director of Student Activities. She completed the YWCA's Person2Person racial equity program in 2017. Prior to Nazareth Jane worked in residential life at Elmira College and DePauw University.
Jane was recognized by the Center for Dispute Settlement with a Community Service for Peace Award in 1999. At Nazareth she received the Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr. Award in 2000, Student Affairs Staff Award in 2002, the President's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award for L+.E.A.P. and the President's Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award programming department award for Campus Life both in 2017.
Jane received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Masters of Education from St. Lawrence University. Jane lives in Henrietta, NY and has two adult children and four grandchildren
